Version 2.3 » Conventuals.Org is getting bigger and bigger. As far as data is concerned, we cannot deny the fact that the site has really grown since the day of the first upload. On August 2005, Conventuals.Org has been temporarily closed because it was transferred to a new server and has gained a bigger space for data storage.
The Web Development Team would like to thank the people behind the progress of Conventual.Org. For your generosity and kind-heartedness, may the Lord grant you a hundred fold in return.
Version 2.2 » In order to work more efficiently for the site, we've decided to form the Web Development Team. And the latter is really working very hard in order to keep you updated about the life and activities of the Conventual Franciscans in the Philippines.
"Error: This page cannot be displayed." Since the sponsor was not able to renew and continue the subscription of the site, Conventuals.Org was temporarily closed by Interfree, the service provider. As so, we've decided to shutdown the site.
But God's grace and generosity through other people kept the site alive. On September 13, 2002, P.Luciano Marini, OFMConv. of Centro Missionario sponsored the subscription for the year 2002-2004. And now, we're back.
Version 2.1 » Indeed, you need a lot of time and dedication to develop a site. We keep on updating for the benefit of our visitors. For your surfing pleasure, we've reconstructed the site in support for other browsers. For almost a week, Conventuals.Org was temporarily unavailable because of some major updates. The new layout, Version 2.1, was uploaded on April 4, 2002 with the following updates: Firefox support and other browsers, Flash version [limited links], Navigation made easy through DHTML menus.
Version 2.0 » Because of the honest comments and suggestions of our friends and visitors, the webmaster was encouraged to make some improvements. After consulting the advice of a confrere, a new layout was created. This time the permission of the superiors was granted to the webmaster and the new layout has been approved as the Custody's official website. The brothers then started submitting their contributions: news update, announcements, articles, etc. And the new update was uploaded on February 12, 2000.
Although many features were added to the new design, the site was still under the evaluation phase and beta testing. However, in this version the site was already running very stable and was then introduced by other confreres abroad.
The Province of Naples saw the efforts and eagerness of the Philippine Custody to continue this new endeavor. A blessing - on the 23rd of August 2001, the Naples Province sponsored a new domain for the Custody. The site acquired its new address: www.conventuals.org
Version 1.0 » The first public release of the site was uploaded on September 8, 1999. During the first release, it was just for personal practice and additional knowledge. Created on Microsoft FrontPage, the site was registered under geocities.com with the address www.geocities.com/ofmcphils and was introduced by few friends for evaluation. It was a very buggy site - buttons everywhere, poor images, lots of dead and broken links. In short, a terrible site. Anyway, it's just for practice
