Evolution of the religious, academic and pastoral formation had happened in St. Maximilian M. Seminary. The quadrennial custodial term of 1997-2001 had been a period of transition. From a mixed grouping of friar-students having different level of study, i.e., college (philosophy and equivalents) and theology, the seminary community had been purified into a more focused and leveled one in terms of formative components. The formation house became a place for a unified post-novitiate religious and theological formation, and pastoral training for all the simply professed friars. After two years of the common post-novitiate formation together of all the simply professed friars, those preparing for the priesthood remain in the seminary while those who have the calling to the lay brotherhood continue their formation at the Immaculata Friary at Novaliches to complete the religious, ministerial and professional training proper to their vocation. The house practically remains the seat for post-novitiate religious formation and theological studies.
